The Forest Theatre is a not-for-profit organization. Apart from a small part-time staff, The Forest Theatre is run by volunteers from communities. We always welcome NEW volunteers! Click the link above to sign up via Sign Up Genius to volunteer!

Volunteer Check-in Times

Check-in times for concession stand preparation duties are as follows:

• 7PM show: check in between 6-6:15PM

• 4PM show: check in between 3-3:15PM

Volunteers must arrive 60 to 45-minutes early. Arriving any later causes us to seek last minute replacements.  If you are a new volunteer or need a refresher, then we encourage you to show up at either 6PM or 3PM–whichever is applicable.

Duties

Each of the shows requires a volunteer to…

• Pop popcorn,

• Work concessions and

• Assist cleaning the auditorium and lobby following the feature film.

​

Volunteer perks

Working volunteers are eligible for the following perks:

• Free small popcorn 

• Free small soda

• Complimentary admission (sponsored by the theatre) to the show that is worked
   

Guidelines

Volunteers are asked to be at least 16 years of age, however younger youth may assist under the direct supervision of an adult parent or guardian.  

Per our food service permit, volunteers are required to tie back long hair, wear sleeved shirts, and wear closed toe shoes. A printable Conditional Employee Health Reporting Agreement is below if you would like to fill out ahead of time.

Sign-up Genius Automated Reminder Tips

You do NOT need a Sign-up Genius (SG) account to sign-up to be one of our awesome volunteers. Simply go to our SG site and sign-up.  You will get an EMAIL notification on your commitment.  You can click a link in the email to place your commitment on your calendar. You should also get an email reminder 2 days prior.

  

If you also want a TEXT reminder the day of your commitment you will need to do the following:

1. Create a (or log in to your) Sign-up Genius account.

2. Update your profile with your cell phone number and carrier.

3. Go to Notification Settings and follow the steps in this article.  We recommend that you still keep email notifications active in addition to your text reminder.

4. Ensure that you sign-up for commitments in your SG account or on the app to activate your text reminder feature.
